Kamps is looking to hire a Customer Service and Credit Manager at the corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI. This person will oversee Regional Accounting Representatives (RARs) and focus on customer service and collections.
- Supervise Regional Accounting Representatives & AP/AR Assistant
- Manage customer credit processes, communication, and follow-up on all accounts
- Process, monitor and investigate monthly statements
- Complete monthly and annual closing timely and accurately
- Reconcile accounts receivable control on a regular basis
- Process customer account adjustments
- Enter and maintain sales tax forms in Certcapture software
- Perform credit card payment processing
- Create new processes based on customer department and organization requirements and efficiency
- Provide training, guidance and support to staff
- Provide data to assist RARs to succeed in their positions
- Provide backup for AP Specialist, AP/AR Assistant or RARs when necessary
- Provide immediate assistance to auditors when required
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Accounting experience is preferred
- Management experience is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel required.
- Experience in Microsoft Great Plains or other accounting or A/R software strongly preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and accurate
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A customer service philosophy
