Kamps is a full-service pallet company meeting the needs of industries coast to coast. Kamps manufactures new pallets, reconditioned pallets, and recycles unrepairable pallets into mulch and bark. Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for multi-location operations
  • Full Profit & Loss responsibility for assigned locations
  • Ability to summarize and establish costs of products manufactured at assigned locations
  • Responsible for compliance and development of administrative processes to assure proper invoicing and costing
  • Oversee transportation effectiveness and efficiencies at all locations
  • Coordinate production requirements with other Kamps regional facilities and operating locations
  • Responsible for hiring and staffing at all assigned locations
  • Coordinate and forecast production demands based on sales trends and customer requirements
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic framework for assigned regional facilities
  • Work directly with regional and territorial sales executives on account service
  • Develop relationships with major customers throughout assigned region
  • Supervise Plant Managers and other supervisory positions in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Train, coach and develop Plant Managers and production teams
  • Conduct performance reviews of Plant Managers; assist in ranking of team members
  • Operate within Kamps Inc. safety standards, ensuring a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Operations and/or Vice President of Operations
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Work well with varied personalities and abilities

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • Prior profit & loss responsibility is required
  • Experience managing in a production environment is required
  • Management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in wood manufacturing is a plus
  • Periodic overnight travel may be required
