Kamps is a full-service pallet company meeting the needs of industries coast to coast. Kamps manufactures new pallets, reconditioned pallets, and recycles unrepairable pallets into mulch and bark. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for marketing/prospecting and obtaining new customers in assigned sales territory
- Develops and maintains business relationships with appropriate customer contacts, provides customer service and support to existing customers to retain existing business and obtain new business through referrals
- Develops and maintains business relationships with suppliers/mills, obtains and communicates orders and appropriate customer product and delivery requirements
- Completion of appropriate administrative functions including timely submission of expense reporting; review and follow up on past due accounts; obtaining required documentation for customer and mill accounting
- Communicates appropriate customer service issues or mill relationship issues with company management for resolution
- Timely communicates any possible collection problems or potential bad debt problems with any customers to VP of Sales and CEO
- Occasional assistance to other company sales staff
Key Position Characteristics
- Previous pallet sales experience preferred
- Advanced product and customer service knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical skills, including email (Outlook), word and excel software;
- Basic knowledge of Prophet 21 software
- Basic knowledge of Pallet Design Software
- Moderate to high level of independent judgment required
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects/tasks/priorities
- Ability to manage periods of moderate stress
