Summary: The primary duty of an account manager is to ensure that the needs of clients and customers are communicated to and understood. To guarantee that customers have a pleasant client-company connection, this includes, but is not limited to, handling any client complaints, working to find solutions to any client difficulties, and responding to their queries in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a constructive and effective relationship with clients by meeting and exceeding their expectations
- Manage a portfolio of accounts
- Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions
- Set and track sales account targets and monitor sales metrics
- Complete all transactions accurately and efficiently maintaining company and client confidentiality
- Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
- Collect and analyze data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and trade events to maintain a high level of product and supplier knowledge

Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience as a sales account manager or sales representative
- Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Satisfactory problem-solving abilities to address customer demands or complaints and current knowledge of industry consumer behavior
- Advanced motivational and negotiating skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with various types of customers and clients
- Exceptional analytical skills for analyzing client data
- Time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks and clients at once
