Cash Applications Specialist – Grand Rapids, MI

Summary: This position provides revenue management support through the revenue cycle, to
include, but not limited to: billing and collections, cash management, as well as payment
posting. This position will initiate and develop relationships with customers to gather and
process information to resolve issues or to receive accurate payment, ultimately optimizing
internal and external customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply cash to customer accounts
  • Print and send customer service statements monthly
  • Issue debit memos for overpayments and apply them
  • Run credit cards as needed
  • Print & organize remittances
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Two years’ experience in accounting or administration
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently and keep deadlines
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office and other software programs as necessary to prepare appropriate reports
  • Experience in Microsoft Great Plains is a plus
