Grand Rapids, MI, May 4, 2026 – Kamps, Inc. (“company”) has entered into an agreement to sell the operating assets of John Rock, Inc., a new pallet manufacturer headquartered in Coatesville, PA., to UFP Industries (NASDAQ: UFPI). UFP Industries will assume ownership of three of the four John Rock operating locations: Coatesville, PA., Mifflintown, PA. and Bowling Green, VA. John Rock employees who directly support these operations will transition to UFP Industries to ensure continuity of service for customers. Kamps will retain ownership of the sawmill operation located in Dillwyn, VA.
“The transaction sharpens Kamps’ focus on its core strength in reconditioned pallets, remanufactured pallets, custom pallets, and reusable packaging management. We will continue to utilize Kamps asset-based operations and expansive network of partners to provide new pallet manufacturing capabilities as needed – creating more flexible, comprehensive pallet life‑cycle services for customers across the country,” said Mitchell Kamps, Kamps, Inc. CEO. “We are confident that the John Rock Coatesville facility will continue to be one of these partners for Kamps in the Northeast.”
