Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Real Estate and Corporate Paralegal to join our legal department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations, providing assistance in various commercial real estate and corporate matters under the supervision of an attorney. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized professional with a strong understanding of commercial real estate and corporate law, impeccable research skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the negotiation, drafting and/or drafting of commercial real estate leases, vendor agreements, service contracts and licensing agreements
  • Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry regulations
  • Maintain an organized contract repository and track key dates and renewal deadlines
  • Manage and maintain a centralized database of all real estate leases, tracking key terms, renewal options, and critical dates
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to address any lease-related issues or modifications
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports related to contracts and real estate matters
  • Review and edit documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal standards
  • Conduct due diligence investigations in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Summarize and organize legal documents for review by internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies
  • Conduct legal research on various corporate and business law matters
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry regulations affecting the company
  • Liaise with internal departments, external legal counsel, and third-party vendors to facilitate communication and resolve legal issues

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on commercial real estate leasing
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate law and contract preparation/review
  • Proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and contract management software
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with LinkSquares and/or LeaseQuery (FinQuery) is a major plus
