GRAND RAPIDS, MI – AUGUST 20, 2026 – Kamps, Inc. (“Kamps”), a national leader in wooden pallets and packaging, is pleased to announce that it has earned an Enterprise-Wide Zero Waste certificate from Zero Waste USA (“ZWUSA”). The certification recognizes Kamps’ enterprise-wide waste diversion practices across its national facility network, where the company achieved a 90.7 percent diversion rate for 2025. According to ZWUSA, Kamps is the first pallet company in the United States to earn this certification, further reinforcing its leadership in pallet reuse, waste diversion, circularity, and sustainable supply chain operations.
ZWUSA is the official U.S. National Affiliate of the Zero Waste International Alliance. As such, it adheres to a strict definition of zero waste principles, requiring more than 90 percent diversion from landfill without the use of incineration or waste-to-energy. Kamps exceeded this requirement with a total diversion rate of 90.7 percent, representing 370,177.05 tons of waste diverted out of 407,828.9 total tons of waste generated in 2025. The diverted waste was primarily composed of wood and metal, with additional materials including plastic and other industrial components.
